Events Moved to the Club Web Service

Post by admin »

The Events content that was historically listed under this Forum heading has now been moved to the clubs Web Service
http://bmwmccwa.wildapricot.org In future all Club Events will be published through the Web Service. If you want a new Event listed please contact one of the club Committee members who will be happy to assist.

Rides:
Use this thread to plan, share, organize and report on your social rides.

Additionally:
There will be a new section appearing on the club website called the "Members Ride Register" this will contain detailed information on Rides including:-
- Routes
- Ride Plans and Maps
- Distances
- GPS details
- Fuel Stops
- Recommended sites and Camping Spots
- Suitability ie Road only, some Off Road, light bikes only etc
The Clubs Records Officer will be the co-coordinator of this new section and will invite members to submit their favorite rides for inclusion in the Register. The Register will then become a great resource for club members especially new members who can benefit from the diversity of experience and trips undertaken by the more experienced members.

Thanks Jono,
I guess we all want more communication and to know whats going on in our club, and be able to plan our choice of upcoming events and rides etc. and so I believe it's important to be able to plan well ahead.

As members post their favourite rides, these will be collated so members can access them and enjoy the previous experience of the writers.

Without becoming too regimental, these rides can then be catagorised by distance, duration, fuel requirements, overnighters and extended tours. Comments and details of accomodation, camp sites rest breaks can all add up to less stress when planning any trip.

I encourage you to recall and rember the great rides and trips you have enjoyed over the years in and around this great country of ours and in doing so, the other members can read about and be inspired to experience these rides themselves, or indeed repeat their previously enjoyable experiences.

So, stay tuned and lets get things moving...........
Davey
