I'm obviously talking to my wife and am tend to think the same thing, why a big town. We've had 3 great Christmas parties that I can remember, the croquet club in Perth, York biker's cafe and New Norcia hotel. What I thought made them great was that we were the only people at the facility, so we could carry on without anyone outside of the group becoming upset.
I'm always keen on a get together however not overly keen on sharing a hotel/pub venue near Christmas in a large town. Someone may not like my loud mouth and poor humor or some drunk may like to play with my parked bike outside.
Is there a smaller town or a facility that we wouldn't need to share?

Christmas Dinner 2012 Narrogin
Re: Christmas Dinner 2012 Narrogin
I had a look on google and it says that Narrogin has a population of 4238 (dunno if the 38 was when a motorcycle group came and stayed over). York has a population of 3250, so I'm not sure where your definition of "big" and "small" kicks in. Like I said on the first post, the Duke of York has 14 rooms. If we cannot fill those 14 rooms, I would say we needn't bother. Also, the management has said that we can use the drive thru for secure parking, besides, not sure why you believe Narrogin has a reputation for ripping off BMW motorcycle parts??? J

Unless Ken is anticipating "Hollister MKII", me and The Enemy will be attending in a festive spirit.

Bowe and Sally are booked in.
Re: Christmas Dinner 2012 Narrogin
Ok. all those wishing to attend the Christmas Dinner, should book through the Club, $40 per head, unless you are a paid up member or a partner of a paid up member, in which case you can book for $30 per head. We will set up the link through which the prepayment can be made. We will then pay the Hotel in one hit. You do have to phone up the hotel and book your rooms, Gemma on 9881 1008. 61 Federal Street, Narrogin. Don't forget to book as one of the BMWMCC group. THe rooms will probably be snapped up pretty promptly, so don't delay.
