Looks like I will be doing the border run on an unregistered bike.

Will be coming from Brisbane probably leaving Qld on Monday July 29 and riding through Broken Hill.

Shame that the alphabet challenge is only in WA.

Bully

I would love to visit Zanthus but I have limited time to get the bike back to Perth on a direct route and the pathetic panniers on the bike will limit my accomodation options.

That said I will be sticking to the bitumen.

The Valiant Charger only ever had a flashing orange light...never had a blue one.

Funny how this thread has wandered off topic again.....

Anyway, back to the Border Run....

Bully on the ol' PD/GS (or is that GS/PD)? will be rolling out at 06:00hrs sharp. Iv'e put him in front to blind and comatose (read stun) any KKK (Krazy Kamikaze Kangaroos) by means of the LED lazer beams that he emits from the front of the mighty PD, as I skilfully attempt to be "sucked along  " via the massive vortex in his wake (aka slipstreaming)........Maybe O.B. you can get in on some slipstreaming and get the Happy Bike up over the magic "tonne"...

The bikes are just about all prepared and with any outstanding items (LED voltmeter etc) being planned in for this Saturdays tuning day.

Come along and enjoy the fun, whilst consuming vast amounts of liquids and solids (in the form of hotdogs AND onions!) as were upping the ante in regards to the Ala Carte menu on this particular day, and start to get the bike ready for the run, or any little job that you've been meaning to getting around to.

I will be at the Border Village around 2:00pm WST Saturday only having a short hop from Ceduna.

Should be easy to spot on the white bike and the pointy blue hat with the gremlin bell.

Big Ears Sprocket...upping the ante with the menu does not mean using anti-freeze to condition the barbecue plate

Saturday arvo/evening is at the BP/hotel at the border, camping is at the rear of the hotel ( camping fees ) or across the road in the bush ( free) you choose your preferred option.

If you have the time to do a slower trip home then Fraser Range is a top place to stay , Reklaw and I camped there last year on the way home.

My intended route; the reverse of last years Secret Men's Business - Revision II:

Perth to Southern Cross - As much dirt as feasible.
Southern Cross to Coolgardie - Dirt.
Coolgardie to Kalgoorlie via Zanthus to Rawlinna - Bitumen to Kal then T.A.R.
Rawlinna to Cocklebiddy - Dirt.
Cocklebiddy to B.V. - Bitumen.
B.V. to Madura - Bitumen.
Madura to Eyre B.O. - Old Telegraph Track.
Eyre B.O. to Balladonia - Bitumen.
Balladonia to Norseman - Old Telegraph Track.
Norseman to Breakaways to Hyden - Dirt
Hyden to Perth - As much dirt as feasible.

Six, maybe seven days - depends.
Some people are like Slinkys, you can't help smiling when you push them downstairs.
