You are a legend Bill, Well Done to you and Doris mate ..............When I saw the news on TV last night I thought you might have been the mystery Bill that was mentioned, especially after it mentioned the towing to the Flying Squadron.
Lucky for them that you were out there,.............. Otherwise who knows?
Regards Swampy

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Re: Boat rescue last Sat made the papers
I would also like to express similar sentiments to Bill and Doris.
It is nice just occasionally to see that what is important in life is not lost or forgotten.
To take time out to assist someone in need or be prepared to change your plans/arrangements to assist people.
Unfortunately, today's interaction between people is all about what can be gotten out of them.
Well done Bill and Doris it should have made news headlines.
I am aware that one of the characters which has made our club so rich and why I am a member is about to debunk for Old Blighty.
DFS to my knowledge has served the club well.
Is there any thought to a farewell drink/cup of coffee by the club?
Cheers
Patrick

Hey Bill,
There should be more gentlemen around like you and me
Great story, glad it actually made the press. They are not renowned for printing good news stories.
Keep up the good work.
Of course it's not fair to tar everyone with the same brush. I think that everyone of us in this club would and does on a regular basis go out of his/her way to help a fellow human in need.
That's just who we are...
