Name Tags Part 2

Post by Swampy »

Resurrecting name tags again Guys,

I posted this item previously as the Committee had discussed the merits of these being available to members previously but it appears it was not followed up or not wanted, I don't know?

It's a shame that a minority have denigrated the idea as personally I think it would assist mainly newer members identify who is who in the club, Especially as their are large amount of members using nick names.

I would suggest that any club member who has similar feelings about tags don't allow themselves to be influenced and/or be led by the nose by some outspoken individuals that seem set against tags or encryption devices in the club. :x

You are individuals and have a right to your own opinion about wearing or not wearing a tag and if it is your wish to wear one then I say go ahead and do it as is your right and freedom of choice. 8)

PS. Waiting for comments guys

As of late I have been applying my "Red" rehydration method (to myself) it does seem effective, though I do feel that it does seem to have an effect upon my "name recall" DNAoncology cells which are located (with me anyway) upon the outer edges (RL) of my brain. Recalling a face (by name) is certainly much assisted when there's a name to glance at, certainly speeds up the memorising process. I feel that if you wish to or not, that's your choice, I have a name tag, will throw it on for the next meet.

ps; Didn't mean to complicate with the medical jargon, just felt that it helped assist with the subject.

Swampy, wasn't trying to take the piss out of you, it was light hearted banter! You could say you'd need a BMW to be a member. I see the issue there.....

Thanks for your feedback one and all.........Now that I have picked myself up off the floor from laughing at "Spartacus" and "Monty Python", I would like to say that No offence was taken by me at all over the piss taking. 30 years in my last job taught me that if nothing else

My main point was mainly directed to those people that may have thought about purchasing name tags but could have been put off by the well intentioned banter of some.

I guess I am not the best at explaining myself at times so I apologise to those who misinterpreted me

Going for a ride with Wes now and will hopefully see you all tomorrow.....With or without tags :P
