Nungarin Military museum 16/17th August

Post by Cookie »

Cookie is heading into Eastern Wheatbelt for an overnight camping trip, anyone wanting to tag along, meet at Caltex Midvale on Saturday 16th August at 9am for a 9.15 departure.

Route will wander in a north easterly direction towards Nungarin military Museum before setting up camp at the Recreational ground, for the night.

There are not many eating establishments in the vicinity, so will need to plan ahead for meals - I will take a trangia stove.

Sunday morning I will meander in a south westerly direction passing through York and then I must scoot as I need to be home by 1pm , followers could stop at York for lunch and wander home from there at their own pace.

Total route around 800km, all black top and achievable by any skill level, riders wanting a more adventurous route can discuss meeting points along the way or meet us there early afternoon.

The Military museum visit is very interesting and will take 1 - 2 hours have a good look around.

Let me know if you are planning to join us for the journey.
Regards

Sorry Cookie I won't be able to attend this one as I have the trip to Gascoyne on the following weekend

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

When do you intend going to the museum and what time. I might come for a quick day trip

Great photos Mike

Thank you to all for a great weekend out and about, country side was very colourful, company and fellowship was great - Mike joined us for a play on Saturday and scooted home before dark, 9 trusty souls camped the night and travelled home by various routes:)

All excited for the upcoming Cookoff
