Re: Thursday April 16 MOJOS MUNDARING
4 at Gloria Jeans with another 9 at Mojos with 10 starting out on the ride. With B/5 and wife Carol staying in Jarrahdale it was a good excuse to visit Jarrahdale and lunch at the 701 Kitchen General Store, which we had not stopped at for a long time.
Headed off through Mundaring, Parkerville, Mahogany Creek and down to the Mundaring Weir. Diverted through Pickering Brook, Canning Mills and Roleystone to stop at Churchman Dam. We wound our way through Churchman Brook and Bedfordale to ease our way onto the SWH to enter the Byford United Fuel Station for top ups. Minor delay to pass slowly past a traffic accident with an injured person on the roadway. Reality check.
With a commitment to meet B/5 at around 11:30am the remaining 8 riders zipped up Nettleton Rd and arrived at the 701 at about 11:31am.
With some sunshine the temperature had crept up to around 26 degrees so it was very pleasant to sit out in the picturesque Kitchen gardens and enjoy our food and drinks. Also enjoyed the tame 28 parrots ( Australian Ringneck ).
The return journey took us past Serpentine Dam and the prison, down onto the SWH and a diversion East on Karnup Rd to access Hopelands and the familiar, Kargotich, Tonkin Hwy to home.
Thanks to all for seamless corner marking overseen by Mick with exemplary TEC performance.
