On a Fresh Autumn Saturday morning, Two BMW riders met at the Narrogin Inn in Armadale at 0800hrs. for a ride to wherever it took us.
Wes ("Mind that Mind") Sweetman on his trusty GS 1150 and me on my GS 1200 headed off down Albany Highway and meandered into Wandering (One of Wa's coldest towns) thru heavy mists and a freezing wind chill factor. The sun struggled to fight it's way through the mists as we pulled into a Narrogin Servo for a heart starting coffee and the only 2 x hot items in the oven..........Sausage rolls.. They went down a treat as we sheltered behind an advertising sign out of a cold breeze.
Onward we foraged through Wickepin (Deserted) and on to Yealering enduring the freezing mists over beautiful green hills and valleys.
A stop to look over Lake Yealering ( Beautiful and peaceful) then on to Corrigin as the sun finally broke through and warmed us on the way Thank goodness for heated grips)
A refuel and lunch break for both machines and riders before we proceeded on to Quairiding and onto Beverly, Marvelling at the freshly plowed and sown paddocks and the abundance of green grass and the incredible Autumn leaves adorning the trees.
A final break in Beverly before we headed over to Brookton Highway for the last leg home.
Left Armadale at 0800 and arrived home at 1615 hrs. A trip for me personally of 500kms and a little more for Wes who lives further West.
All in all a terrific ride in mostly great riding weather with many stops to check out some lovely country towns and local sites of interest.
Thanks Wes for organising a very enjoyable day or riding and sightseeing.

"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
