Attack of the MAWIOs
One of the joys of the road is that you never know what will happen next.
Today I thought I would combine wine tasting with a run on the newly sealed Mowen Road (between Margaret River and Nannup).
The trip down was routine for a BMW Latte Rider ... a coffee at the Goose Cafe at the Busselton Jetty, a Guinness Pie at the Dunsborough Bakehouse and tasting some premium reds at a winery.
Then all hell broke loose as a bus load of MAWIOs arrived at the winery (Middle Aged Women in Onesies) surrounding the only person (Bozo) on the public side of the counter.
Various suggestions were made about Bozo removing gear so that they "could see what type of man he was" and that he would "fit right in if he was in his birthday suit".
A woman in a tiger suit was particularly insisting that gear be removed but Bozo not being a party animal beat a hasty retreat.
And as for Mowen Road..all but 100 metres has been sealed and it is an excellent link road between Nannup and Margaret River.
680 kilometres of motorcycling without a drop of rain tasting some brilliant wines was great but not enough to displace the memories of a scary group of out of control MAWIOs.

Bozo are you sure it wasn't just a bad dream or some hippy concoction they slipped you at the wine tasting. Sounds scary

Bill
Was it Merlot the magician...maybe it was some sort of Arthurian activity but that is usually a knight time activity. There were no mushrooms in the pie and I did not go to Balingup.
Should have taken photos but it would have been a high risk activity.

Re: Attack of the MAWIOs
I had only had had three 20 ml tastings.
There were cats, rabbits and tigers but no cougars.
In my limited understanding of cougars is that they seek out younger, muscular prey.

In that case Bozo I should have been there

Men are pretty hopeless at maths but are generally more honest than women about their age.
I am sure that 50 to 70 will be the best 10 years of your life (if you stay away from cougars) but I still suspect you have a handful of years of life's experience on me.

Left school when I was 14 Bozo but seem to remember that there is 20 years between 50 and 70
Anyway I have only Tiny Tad more of lifes experience than you mate........................ I will only be 69 this year (If I remember rightly?)
And I remember vaguely that 69 could be a good number at times in the right circumstances
